Mini Animal Paintings

Trio

Hawk

Owl

Wolverine

These are only about 2 inches tall and wide. The theme was spirit animals.
These are all black silhouettes on white backgrounds and were painted with acrylics.

Craft Olympics

Size - 2"x2"

Painting in California this spring

The idea was to take an old watercolor painting you have done that you do not like, then gesso over it. We used gold-tinted gesso (for the cat painting, I did not use gesso in order to try something new, and because the under-painting was rather light). Next, we used watercolor crayons to sketch shapes. Then, we used acrylics to create new paintings! We used the watercolor crayons once more at the end to emphasize some of the shapes.

Nature Paintings

For Valentine's Day, I painted a lake fishing cabin because I'd love to own one some day with my hubby.

I also painted black bears that Ben and I saw at Shenandoah National Park on vacation last fall.
